Now Hiring | Customer Account Manager

We’re looking for a pro-active sales-focused individual, to join our small team who is comfortable nurturing existing business, in conjunction with generating sales from their own efforts.

Candidates would need to be customer-focused with previous sales experience and a proven track record of achieving and driving their own sales, consistently surpassing targets. Experience of office furniture and/or furniture accessories is an advantage but not essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establishing solid and effective working relationships with key accounts
  • Prospecting for new business and generating leads across the business
  • Occasional hosting of visitors to our showroom, pre-arranged or ad-hoc
  • Developing and quoting key accounts both technically and commercially
  • Identifying and prioritising new business opportunities with new accounts, qualifying and following up on these opportunities
  • Establish and communicating new features which will increase sales/opportunities
  • Implementing the necessary activities in order to maintain and develop existing customers
  • Providing professional and personable customer care from start to finish
  • Meeting and exceeding sales targets
  • Converting leads into business
  • Preparing and working to budgets
  • Working with the marketing and product teams to ensure all sales opportunities are maximised
  • Managing an effective sales process from applying specifications to proposal submission
  • Negotiation and closing

Key skill required

  • Knowledge / experience of AutoCAD a distinct advantage
  • Experience in sales, to trade / individuals and contract work
  • Lead generation and willingness to work with other departments to assist with generating these leads
  • Demonstrative experience of sales delivery
  • Account management experience
  • Proven track record in successful sales
  • Solid negotiation skills
  • Client account management experience, growing these accounts
  • Business development, looking for and reacting to new prospects
  • Solutions focused customer service
  • Confident communicator, able to work on multiple projects at the same time and always able to deliver
  • Adaptable in a changing environment, willing to go the extra mile
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Strong IT skills, Microsoft Office and ideally Sage
  • Meticulous attention to detail and high levels of accuracy
  • A professional and proactive approach

The Package

  • Salary of £28,000 with OTE of £5,000 +
  • 24 days paid holiday

  • Role-based approximately 5 miles outside Banbury so car essential
  • Working within a dynamic business, successfully operating with an upward sales trend for 20+ years
